Because of huge interest, Belgrade Arena issued additional number of tickets, which cost around 35 euros.
Band Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds were formed in 1984, and they released 14 albums, including the new one, Dig!!! Lazarus, Dig!!! (Mute), which is shortlisted for Best Album and Best Song in this year's Mojo Honours List 2008.
Cave has contributed to the band's cult status with his rich artistic engagement - in addition to being a musician, lyrics writer and poet (he has published 1 novel and 4 books of poems), his music also features in several of Wim Wenders's films, in which he also appears (Wings of Desire, Until the End of the World, The Soul of Man, Faraway so Close), as well as for films The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and The Proposition, for which he is also the screenwriter.
After The Birthday Party, Cave formed The Bad Seeds in 1984, featuring former Birthday Party guitarist Mick Harvey on drums, ex-Magazine bassist Barry Adamson, and Einsturzende Neubauten guitarist Blixa Bargeld.
With the Bad Seeds, Cave continued to explore his obsessions with religion, death, love, America, and violence with a bizarre, sometimes self-consciously eclectic hybrid of blues, gospel, rock, and arty post-punk, although in a more subdued fashion than his work with the Birthday Party.
Their first album, From Her to Eternity (1984), contains a noteworthy cover of Elvis Presley's "In the Ghetto," foreshadowing much of Cave's style and subject matter on the follow-up The Firstborn Is Dead. Kicking Against the Pricks, an all-covers album, broke the band in England with the help of "The Singer," which hit number one on the U.K. independent charts.
Following 1986's Your Funeral...My Trial, Cave took a hiatus from recording, doing several movie appearances and publishing two books. Cave received his due as one of the leading figures in alternative rock when he was invited to perform on the 1994 edition of the Lollapalooza tour to promote his Let Love In album.
In 1996, they released their most commercially successful album, Murder Ballads, featuring duets with PJ Harvey - Henry Lee and Kylie Minogue - Where the Wild Roses Grow.
With typical perversity, Cave followed Murder Ballads with the introspective and personal The Boatman's Call in early 1997. A spoken word release, Secret Life of the Love Song, followed in 1999.
Two years later, a rejuvenated Cave teamed up with the Bad Seeds once again for the piano-laden No More Shall We Part.
Nocturama was released in 2003, and the double-album Abbatoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus followed by the end of 2004.
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds released recently the new single “More News From Nowhere” on CD, 7" and download, and the tracklisting includes an exclusive track “Fleeting Love”.
The new single also includes a brand new video for the unreleased extended version of “Night Of The Lotus Eaters”, directed by UK artists, Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, which is available to watch in the Video section of the band’s website.
Beside actual European tour, Cave and The Bad Seeds also announced return to North America for their first live dates in five and a half years.
The tour, featuring their first appearances at the famed Hollywood Bowl and New York's WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden, will start on September 16 in San Diego, and will be finished on October 4 in New York and following day in Washington.
