Stefan Milenkovic Return in Sava Centre
BELGRADE (SEEcult.org) - Famous Belgrade violinist Stefan Milenkovic, who lives and works in USA, performed on June 28 in Sava Centre for the first time after five years. Milenkovic held a concert with his wife Ani Aznavoorian (chello), followed by Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, and conducted by Eivind Gullberg Jensen.
The program consisted of Shostacovich’s Symphony no. 5 and Johhanes Brahms’s Double concert in A moll.
Milenkovic and Ani Aznavoorian will also hold a Masterclass for the students of the Music school “Stankovic“. They have been teaching for several years at the University of Illinois, where they live now, while Milenkovic also works at the famous Julliard in New York.
Milenkovic and Sava Centre marked last year two anniversaries: both have celebrated their 30th birthday.
Milenkovic's concerts have always been a fusion of emotions and artistic expression, a strong energy and at the same time an ease of playing the violine that makes us proud that he was born and grew up in this region.
The concert was organized by Belgrade Cultural Network.
